Sesia Explorer Outdoor Sports Centre is a Sports Association with its Operative base in Scopello (VC) just off the main road, which takes you along to Alagna (Mount Rosa) SS299.
Our Centre is situated in a spacious area with on site parking area (for cars, caravans and buses), showers, WC and Changing rooms. We also have a delightful bar with a Mini Golf course, and just in front of our centre there is a Football pitch (synthetic paving) and Basketball courts.
We also have an convention with the Sports Palace just next to us with which we are able to use all of their services.
Within 300meters from our Operative base, we can find the Ski lifts for the renowned Mera Alp Skiing resort
Sesia Explorer is open from April through to October each year, as our activities are directly linked to snow melt from the Sesia Glacier (as well as those from the Verra, Lys, Piode, Indren, Bors and Belvedere glaciers) up on Mount Rosa, therefore the first runs are generally in late April starting with the snow melt, whilst in October, the runs depend on the onslaught of the cold air coming down from the North which can block the flow of the river water.
We have a selection of top quality Hotels, B&B, Camp sites and smaller country “agriturismi” all with whom we have conventions offering the best prices for lodging in and around Scopello, together with Restaurants, Pizzeria’s and mountain shelters offering exquisitely typical dishes.
